Located right in the historical centre of Madrid, close to the Opera house, Royal Palace, the Senate and Gran Via this hotel is an excellent choice when staying in the capital of Spain. The closest underground stations are Opera and Santo Domingo. 18 kms to the nearest airport (barajas) 4 minute walk to the nearest metro station (santo domingo) 3 km to the nearest station (atocha) 4 minute walk to the nearest bus stop 15 km to the nearest fair site (ifema/juan carlos fair centre)

The building was constructed in 1850 and completely renovated in 1990. Formerly a city palace, the basic structure and noble classical style of the building have been completely preserved. Spread over 6 floors, the hotel has a total of 183 rooms, of which 159 are doubles and 24 are suites. There is a considerably large lobby with lifts, a charming glass roofed patio, hotel safes, a currency exchange desk, a cloakroom and a 24-hour reception. In addition the hotel has a café, a homely bar, a pub and an air-conditioned a la carte restaurant with a separate non-smoking area. There are conference rooms and Internet connection for those travelling on business. Room and laundry services are also available. In addition the hotel has a car park which is available against an additional fee.

All of the hotel's debonair en suite guestrooms are furnished with impeccable taste.
