The hotel is situated only 18 minutes away from Edinburgh city centre by train and is close to the Aberlady Bay bird sanctuary, East Fortune Air Museum which houses the Concorde, the Glenkinchie whisky distillery, Scottish Seabird Centre and North Berwick.


Built in 1638, the Kilspindie House and the neighbouring school were converted into a 26-en suite bedroom hotel in 1970. The charming, family-friendly hotel is an ideal base for exploring all that Edinburgh and the Lothians have to offer, such as beautiful countryside, sandy beaches, historic buildings and a number of popular visitor attractions. Directions, How to get there
The hotel is 5 minutes from Longniddry railway station and 20 minutes by road from central Edinburgh. When travelling from Glasgow and West Scotland, join the M8 to Edinburgh city bypass A720. Then take the A1 south exit at Bankton junction following signs to North Berwick. Then travel through Longniddry to Aberlady. Travelling from the south and east, follow the A1 northwards and exit at Haddington junction. Then join the A6137 to Aberlady. Coaches should stay on the A1 and take Bankton Junction to avoid a low bridge. The hotel is situated on Main Street on the left-hand side.
