This elegant venue is a destination in itself for everyone visiting the north east of England. With a four star home-from-home, a pub with a Micro Brewery and Beamish Wild Outdoor Adventure Park and High Ropes Course located in the grounds of the estate, it is worthwhile any visit and its guests will have plenty to do and see. Once a privately owned home this 12th Century building and grounds have been lovingly restored into a 21st century Country House Hotel without losing any of its grandeur or heritage. There are stunning period features, including ornate ceilings, chandeliers, stained glass windows and a sweeping staircase. Windows overlook the gardens to the 24-acre estate dotted with rare and exotic trees planted by the Hall's former owners.
