In the middle of the fertile plain of the Ebro and backed by the
Beceite mountains, this historic hotel dominates the upper part of
the town, in a setting which combines the monumental beauty of the
town with the attractions of the different natural enclaves which
surround it. Abderramán III decided to build this fortification,
which now houses the 72-room hotel, next to 4 splendid large
Catalan Gothic windows. The interior décor assimilates the
predominance of Christian and regal characters with classical style
furniture and wooden beams. It is fully air-conditioned and
features a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, as
well as a currency exchange facility and lift access. The hotel's
walls feature Arabic motifs, whilst the dining room's large Gothic
windows are a must-see. Alongside the dining room, there is a café,
restaurant, TV room and conference facilities. Internet access is
provided and a children's play area is available. Room and laundry
services are provided, whilst guests arriving by car can leave
their vehicles in the hotel's own undercover and outdoor private
car parks.

The guest rooms have been decorated with classical furniture and
feature en suite bathrooms with shower/bathtub and hairdryer.
Further in-room facilities include 2 twin beds which can be joined
together, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a minibar
and safe. The terraces provide beautiful views of the Ebro River
and Beceite Mountains. All rooms have been fitted with individually
regulated air conditioning and heating units.
Restaurant & Food
Breakfast is served in either continental or buffet style, whilst
midday and evening meals can be selected from the à la carte and
set menus. Available dishes include 'anguila en suc' (eels in
broth), 'suquet de peix' (fish in sauce), 'pastisets' (vermicelli
cakes), 'Garrofetas' (a type of dessert) and rice dishes.
Activities & Sport
The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool with stunning views of the
surrounding countryside. Other activities available to guests
include tennis, mini-golf, horse riding, mountain biking, punting
and 4x4. Panoramica Golf Course is 45 km from the hotel.
Comments
There is limited parking space available and it is not under
surveillance. The children's play area is also not under
surveillance.
Directions, How to get
there
The most advisable access route to the hotel is from the A7
motorway, exit 40. Tortosa is 90 km from Tarragona, the province's
capital. Check GPS coordinates.
