The hotel is located on Ann Siang Hill, one of Singapore's historic enclaves in Chinatown, and within the central business district. Historic Ann Siang Hill is at the heart of a vibrant community, with creative agencies, specialty shops, art galleries, fashionable wine bars and restaurants dominating the area. Attractions, within a 5 to 10-minute walk from the hotel, include the URA Gallery, Thian Hock Keng Taoist Temple, the Sri Mariamman Temple - the only Hindu temple in Chinatown, the Chinatown Heritage Centre, the Night Market and the Fu Tak Chi Museum. Also within a 10 to 12-minute walk are shopping malls like People's Park Complex & Shopping Centre, Chinatown Point, and International Plaza. The hotel is half way between the Tanjong MRT Station & the Chinatown MRT Station - both are a 10-minute walk away.

This city hotel is one of Singapore's boutique hotels, opened in December 2004 after a 45 million SGD acquisition and refurbishment, the hotel occupies a row of preserved shop houses dating to 1868, and an original 1924 art deco building, all joined together and converted into an over-the-top boutique. Interiors are mainly black, gold and scarlet red, giving the whole place a Victoria's Secret boudoir feel. It has 84 rooms in total, with 14 Premium rooms (26-30 m²), 26 Executive rooms (16 -24 m²), 15 Deluxe rooms (16-20 m²) and 24 Standard rooms (15-20 m²). It is air-conditioned and has a lobby with 24-hour reception, a safe, currency exchange facility and lift access. Bar and dining facilities also feature. Internet access, room and laundry services are additionally offered, though fees apply in all cases.

Rooms
All rooms are appointed in refreshing shades of cool pastels. Individually adjustable air conditioning, a desk with data port for PC and fax connections, complimentary and unlimited high speed Internet access (subject to change), satellite/cable TV, minibar, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, double bed, electronic door locks, a pillow menu and en suite bathrooms with standing shower cabinet also feature as standard.

Restaurant & Food
The dining options available to guests include Desire, which serves modern fusion cuisine and features a provocative menu with dishes such as Skinny Dipping & G-String; Bold: a bar with a brazen mix of jet black, matt gold, cardinal reds, Porto Oro Black marble and grey mirror clad ceilings. It features premium wines and champagnes, potent cocktails and exotic canapés; Breeze: a Mediterranean-style open terrace bar and restaurant located on the open roof-space, offering refreshing salads, exotic cocktails, a wide range of wines, fresh shellfish platters and an array of grilled and barbequed meats and seafood.

Soda is an open-air Jacuzzi set amidst a refreshing burst of flora, while Flaunt Gym is an enclave for fitness fiends and yoga practitioners.
