This hotel is located in the historic centre of Rome, a few steps from the famous gateway of Porta Pia. It is situated in the heart of the diplomatic, financial and fashion district of the city. Connections to public transport are optimal: the subway station is only 200 m from the hotel and stops of principal city bus lines are close by. It is just a 5-minute drive to central Rome and the city's sights are all nearby: the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum (almost 2 km), the Spanish Steps (800 m), the Piazza del Popolo (1 km) and the Vatican Museum (1.5 km). Built in 1870, this hotel is one of a kind in Rome. Each detail in this establishment is in Art Deco style, designed according the famous artistic movement which began at the turn of the last century. The movement reached its peak in 1925, with an historical exhibition of decorative arts in Paris, from which it takes its name. The hotel furnishings have been carefully chosen and incorporate original pieces and sometimes perfect reproductions of period pieces. The attention to detail in the lamps, appliqués, moquettes and pictures will transport guests back to another time. This historical city hotel comprises a total of 70 rooms spread over 5 floors. Facilities on offer to guests at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, 2 lifts, a cafe, a bar and a restaurant. The comfortable rooms are furnished in déco style with some original pieces and some perfect reproductions.
