Rumah Kalua Villa is a concept friendly and family accommodation run business located down a side street across from the harbour. Tucked away in a tropical garden with a view to the tiny Gili Trawangan hill in the background and in the middle of the local village only 200 meters away from the beautifull white beach and the crystal clear water. With three bungalows, it is a dream place to stay and you will find yourself in a relaxing, friendly and familiar atmosphere, where you will be taken good care of. This place located just a short walk from the heart of Gili Trawangan, where you will find shops, cafés, diving shops, and excellent dining places, but Rumah Kalua is in a quiet and peaceful area.

Each villa comes with a TV DVD player and living area. A safety deposit box tea/coffee facilities and a sofa are also included. The en suite bathroom provides a shower and free bath amenities. Gili Trawangan has a huge variety of restaurants to choose from and all catering for different tastes and budgets you certainly wont go hungry to bed. From imported grilled steaks at The Beachhouse to Indian at Persona, from fajitas at The Irish to wood fired pizzas at Coral Beach you’ll be spoilt for choice. However, freshly caught fish barbequed to perfection is the main speciality with prawns, snapper, lobster and barracuda are just a few of the different types of fish you can sample. Almost all restaurants cater for western tastes but dont miss out on the good local food. Try some of the local “warungs†for lunch located around the Art Marked.

There are many different activities to meet all tastes; relaxing on the beach, healthy promenades along the lovely beach, diving, snorkeling, surfing, biking or horse-riding. Aim to get to Sunset point for 6.15 pm for spectacular views overlooking Bali’s Mount Agung or trek up to the top of the hill and watch the sunset from there.

From Bali: There are daily flights to Lombok and as the flight is only 30 minutes it’s a very convenient way to travel. Bear in mind however that it is another 1.30 hour by taxi to Bangsal harbour and then a further 30 minutes by public boat to Trawangan. So the total travel time from Bali including airport check-in is approximately 4 hours.
