Kungkungan Bay Resort (KBR to its friends and soon to be friends) is proud to be the resort that introduced the world to the now famous “Lembeh Straitâ€, acknowledged as the #1 destination in the world for Critter / Muck diving. KBR was the original resort in the Lembeh Strait and as such pioneered the diving.

KBR has 17 Luxurious rooms in 4 categories. All our rooms are beachfront (with one exception) and are just steps from the magical waters of the Lembeh Strait. Our resort is secluded and we are isolated from the bustle and noise of everyday Indonesian Village life. Here you can lie in bed at night and listen to the sound of small waves lapping on the beach as you fall asleep. You can then wake to the sounds of Birds in the Trees on a sunlit morning. All of our rooms are Air Conditioned with Ceiling Fans. Standard Room Amenities include: In-Room Telephones, Free Wi-Fi, Stocked Mini-Bar, Coffee/Tea Facilities, Un-Limited Bottled Water, Large Bathrooms w/ Walk-in Showers and Hair-dryer. We include a “Turndown†service every evening so your room is freshened and prepared for your nights rest.

KBR’s philosophy is, “If you have to do something several times a day, let’s make it something to Enjoy!†This is why our Restaurant serves delicious foods that we like to call “World Cuisineâ€. We have dishes from Indonesia, Thailand, China, Japan, Italy, Brazil, Mexico and America to name a few. We like to say we have a Cuisine for every Taste. All our food is still cooked to order, “We don’t cook it until you order itâ€. Capt. Billy’s is a full service bar with an extensive drink list. We serve Ice Cold Local and Imported Beer. We also carry a wide array of Local and Imported Spirits and Mixers.

The resort offers a pleasant hideaway with comfortable facilities; the pool area offers a beautfiul view of Lembeh Strait with all of its local color as well as a convenient swim-up bar. Capt. Billy’s is a place for entertainment while you stay in KBR. The bar has 2 large multipurpose Flat Screen TV’s. You can catch a movie, maybe some news or that must-see Sporting Event. We also use the TV’s for showing Kaj’s beautiful Underwater HD Videos and Barb’s Underwater Photography Slideshows. In addition, Capt. Billy’s has Darts and Board Games for added pleasure. KBR’s Tepi Laut Spa (Sea Side Spa) is a place to relieve stress, forget daily worries, to relax sore and tired muscles, and a place to be pampered by our amazing staff of professional massage and beauty technicians. We have a full range of Aqualung dive equipment for rent. We also have a wide-range of Scubapro full-length wetsuits in various sizes in 3mm and 5mm thickness.
