Welcome to Villa Iskandar, our beautiful four-bedroom riverside home in South-west Bali; contemporary in design with a healthy dose of Chinoiserie adding the style and mysticism of the Orient into the mix. We chose this location for its natural beauty and rural charm and of course its proximity to the beach and the Nirwana Golf Course, while Seminyak’s good times and shopping are only a 13-kilometres drive away. At Iskandar we offer you five-star facilities and superb service from a full team of caring staff including a manager, butlers, and a chef, so that that you will have no real need to go out for meals or entertainment, although we do provide the complimentary services of a car and driver for up to 10 hours a day should you wish to explore beyond the villa.

Each of our four bedrooms is tastefully decorated with antique Chinese furnishings and features hardwood floors, queen-size beds, ensuite bathrooms (two of which are semi-open-air), and views over the river. There are dining options for both formal indoor feasts and relaxed alfresco meals on the terrace. The focal point, however, is our 15-metre infinity edge pool that looks out over the river.

The villa offers an extensive suggestion menu of delicious home-style meals featuring Asian and international dishes to cater to all tastes, with an excellent selection of vegetarian and children’s options. The chef is also more than happy to tailor meals to accommodate any special dietary requirements. A stay is not complete without sampling some local dishes such as pepes ikan (fish steamed in banana leaf), satay ayam (chicken satay on bamboo skewers) or pisang goreng (fried banana) served with ice cream.
Groceries and beverages are charged at cost price plus 20%. Guests will be requested to provide grocery money in advance, and the staff will do the shopping and keep the receipts for reference. To make the most of the kitchen and give staff time to shop, it is a good idea to plan meals the evening before or with a minimum of five hours in advance.

Villa Iskandar’s manager have a wealth of information about nearby places of interest and will help arrange transport and make any bookings required. Do also ask the staff about the local area. Many of them live nearby and will be able to give an interesting insight into some of the fascinating aspects of Bali life. Feel like a body scrub or massage? Just ask our staff to bring the spa services. There are various recommended deluxe treatments carried out riverside or in the privacy of your own room by fully trained therapists from a reputable local spa (extra charges will apply).

Villa Iskandar is situated in a jungle-fringed river gorge close to the village of Beraban in Bali’s Tabanan regency, which is known as Bali’s ‘rice bowl’ due to its vast terraced rice fields. Just four kilometres away is the famed Tanah Lot sea temple and the award-winning Greg Norman-designed Nirwana Bali Golf Course. The nearest surf beaches, including Echo Beach, are about eight kilometres from the villa.
