The hotel is located at the very top of a hill on the edge of a large wood, 6 kilometres from the centre of ruedesheim. There is no public transport available, though at certain times of year a cable car is in operation down to Assmannshausen. 4 kms to city centre 92 kms to the nearest airport (frankfurt) 6 km to the nearest station (rudesheim) 35 minute walk to the nearest bus stop 75 km to the nearest fair site (frankfurt)

This Schloss-hotel is set in a beautiful surrounding overlooking the whole valley and gives you the impression of being back in the 19th century.
Exterior: The very attractive main building dates from 1726 and was originally a hunting lodge, which was later converted to a hotel. There are additionally several annexes which belong to the hotel where rooms have same high standard as in the main building.
Lobby: The lobby is medium sized and reflects the homely atmosphere of the hotel despite not being as traditional in style as the exterior of the building might suggest.

Rooms
The bedrooms are furnished in various subdued colour schemes to a high traditional standard and have a very homely atmosphere. Due to the age of the building they vary a lot in size, but on average they are medium sized. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are in good condition.

Restaurant & Food
The restaurant offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Its furnishings and style are quite modern, its kitchen renowned as one of the best in Germany for both gourmet and traditional cuisine.
