The city hotel is an excellent budget hotel. It was renovated in 2012 and comprises a total of 201 rooms spread throughout the five-storey building. Guests are welcomed in the lobby, which offers a 24-hour reception and a 24-hour check-out service as well as currency exchange facilities and lift access to upper floors. Further modern amenities on offer include a breakfast room, conference facilities and wireless Internet access. A private car park is available to those arriving by car for an additional fee.

The commodore rooms has the concept in the the style of a ship, therefore all rooms are designed like cabins on a boat, with emphasis on maximising the space. Rooms are small and in fair condition. All beds are of the same quality, but guests must note that extra beds either fold out or down from the wall. Third and fourth beds are in bunk style. Bathrooms are very small and in excellent condition. The colour schemes used are simple and bright, principally featuring red, blue and yellow.

Located on the ground floor next to the reception, breakfast only is served. The breakfast area is a smart, simply furnished room.

The nearby beach is sandy.
