This is a deluxe hotel with a lot of character, blending
beautifully modern conveniences with the traditional and historic
Convict days' architecture. Great views of Sydney can be enjoyed
from many upgraded rooms (see harbour view display) and the
Executive Club Lounge which is one of the best in Sydney.
This is a modern high rise tower rising out of the majestic
sandstone Treasury Building, dating back to 1851, the old part
showcasing charm and grace.
Has an old world character which is in keeping with historical
nature of the hotel. The reception area is located in one corner,
with the Cortile, a three tiered sandstone and marble courtyard as
the hotel's central meeting place - serving drinks, afternoon teas
etc. Cortile also features a restored lift which serves as a
centrepiece.
Rooms
The rooms and suites are designed along classical lines - but with
a new, urban feel. With clever use of furniture that maximises the
view, guest rooms feature a cushioned window seat, luxurious chaise
lounge, a large desk, plus sheer and blackout blinds. Spacious and
full of light, guest rooms provide outstanding views of Sydney
Harbour, the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Circular Quay. An en
suite bathroom, TV, Internet access, tea/coffee making facilities
and individually adjustable air conditioning all feature.
Restaurant & Food
Cafe Opera - a buffet restaurant is on the first floor. The Cortile
(coffee shop) is on the ground level.30 Something - fine dining -
is a 31st floor restaurant which provides magnificent views of
Sydney.

The newly renovated health and fitness centre features the latest
cardiovascular and strength training equipment. The hotel also
offers guests the use of a heated indoor pool.

Directions, How to get
there
From the airport: North to Sydney along Southern Cross DR. Drive
for approx. 6 minutes before going through the eastern tunnel. Take
Macquarie street/city turn-off and turn right into Macquarie
Street. The hotels heritage listed treasury building is in a
prominent location on the corner of Bridge Street.
