The architecture and design of this 11-storey hotel, which was
built in 2009, are also noteworthy, as it was designed by
celebrated Ukrainian architect Sergey Babushkin. Its angular
marble-and-glass façade is an artful blend of classical and
contemporary features, highlighted by a three-metre statue of the
Greek Goddess Nike by Ukrainian sculptor Michael Reva. The hotel's
interiors are created by well-known British designer John Tweedie
and offer an authentic perspective of the region's rich heritage.
The residential lobby and public areas feature cream and pale
yellow marble floors, black marble columns, handmade Italian
furniture by Armando Rho, exquisite drapes, and
specially-commissioned Eastern European art and lighting fixtures.
The air-conditioned business hotel offers 272 rooms in total and
welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out
services, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a cloakroom,
lift access and a newspaper stand. Further facilities include a bar
and restaurant, conference facilities, WLAN Internet access, room
and laundry services, a car park and a garage.
