A beautiful hotel and the perfect place to relax in. There is an
outdoor swimming pool with sunbathing terrace, lots of landscaped
gardens, a children play area, a golf putting green, mountain bikes
to hire and free secure parking. The hotel also has a lovely lounge
and bar. One of the best hotels in the Plettenbery Bay area.
Exterior: The hotel is an estate with the 42 rooms spread out over
several acres of land in small blocks. The blocks are beige in
colour and just two storeys high. The entrance to the hotel is
small with a drive-in area for cars and a central water
feature.
Lobby: A very discreet and stylish lobby, the reception is on the
right as you enter and there is a staircase on the left adorned
with African artifacts. The theme throughout the hotel is African
art and culture, and has been done very well. There is a small
seating area as you enter.
Rooms
Each of the 37 spectacular, stylishly decorated rooms offers
special features such as an open fireplace, a large terrace, or a
balcony with views of the golf course and Bitou Polo Fields. The
rooms are carpeted and also come with a double or king-size bed and
an en suite bathroom with hairdryer. Further amenities include
satellite/cable TV, a direct dial telephone, a radio, a stereo
system, tea and coffee making facilities, a minibar, a hire safe,
and Internet access. Individually adjustable air conditioning and
heating comes as standard in every room. Wheelchair-accessible
rooms are available on request.
Restaurant & Food
Guest may select breakfast and dinner from a buffet. Lunch and
dinner can additionally be taken à la carte or as a set menu.
Special meals are on offer and dietary requirements are catered
for. Guests may book either a half-board, full board,
all-inclusive, or bed and breakfast stay.
Activities & Sport
The grounds feature a sun terrace, sun loungers and parasols,
several heated pools, a Jacuzzi, and a poolside snack bar.
Relaxation is guaranteed in the sauna or with a massage. Sports
enthusiasts can work out in the gym; take part in aerobics; play
tennis, volleyball, table tennis or squash; or go horse riding,
bowling and cycling. Billiards and minigolf are also on offer.
Fishing, whale-watching, sailing, diving, windsurfing, canoeing,
and paragliding are available in the surrounding area (charges
apply). In addition, keen golfers can choose between 2 golf
courses. Children are kept entertained by the activity programme in
the Kiddies fun park. For the adventure lover, bungee-jumping off
the 216-metre Stormsriver Bridge provides an extraordinary
adrenalin rush; swinging 30 metres above the forest floor in the
Tsitsikamma forest will have a similar effect.
