This charming country house is elegant, comfortable and appointed
with traditional furnishings and Tuscan antiquities. Guests can
taste the famous wines and the excellent extra-virgin olive oil
produced by the Azienda Agricola San Felice in the hotel wine shop.
Originally built in 1714 and renovated in 2011, this
family-friendly country house now offers 43 guest rooms and a wide
range of facilities, which include a lobby with 24-hour reception
and check-out services, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities
and a cloakroom. There is a TV lounge, bar and restaurant, and
guests may also take advantage of the conference facilities,
wireless Internet access, room and laundry services, and a car
park.
Rooms
The building offers elegant and comfortable suites and double rooms
with traditional furnishings and Tuscan antiquities, preserving the
authentic atmosphere of the ancient noble residences of Chianti.
Each accommodation unit features an en suite bathroom with shower,
bathtub and hairdryer, a double or king-size bed and individually
regulated air conditioning and heating. Other in-room amenities
include a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, a radio, Internet
access, and a safe and a minibar.
Restaurant & Food
The connected restaurant 'Poggio Rosso' offers traditional Tuscan
dishes, inspired by the best Italian traditions and accompanied by
wonderful wines produced at the residence. A continental breakfast
buffet is served each morning, and set menu and à la carte options
are available for lunch and dinner.
Activities & Sport
Guests can enjoy a heated, outdoor swimming pool with poolside
snack bar and sun loungers and parasols. There is also an on-site
gym, and massages and spa treatments are offered. Guests enjoy use
of the tennis courts, and can also play table tennis, pool/snooker
or bocce, or go horse riding (fees apply) or biking.
Directions, How to get
there
From Milan/Florence: Drive on the A1 motorway to Florence and exit
at Firenze Certosa. Take the expressway to Siena. Pass all the
exits to Siena continuing driving in the direction of
Arezzo/Perugia SS73. After about 7 km, turn right to exit for
Casetta. Follow signs to Bossi, Montaperti, San Felice and Gaiole.
Keep driving on this road, following the signs for Bossi. Pass the
villages of Montaperti and San Piero. After San Piero turn right
following signs for Bossi and San Felice. At the big black sign for
'Castello di Bossi' turn left and pass Bossi. Then, after 2 km,
arrive at the property. From Rome: take the A1 Rome-Florence
highway and exit at Valdichiana. Take the expressway in the
direction of Siena. After about 30 km, turn right to Castelnuovo
Berardenga. Pass the village of Castelnuovo Berardenga, following
signs to Gaiole in Chianti. Keep driving on this road (SS 484) and
pass the village of Villa a Sesta. After Villa a Sesta keep
following signs to San Felice.
