Exterior: This is an historical Palazzo, its history begins in the
XV Century when the building was used as an "hospital" to provide
assistance and refuge to religious pilgrims. The Palazzo became
afterwards a Manor House and an important centre of power and
culture. Marble words sculptured remind the presence of the
Archduke of Tuscany Leopoldo II, from the Lorena family, in 1837
and, closer to our century, the stay of the Prince of Italy,
Umberto of Savoy, in 1945.
Lobby: The lobby is medium in size and furnished in a very
sophisticated and elegant style. It is tastefully decorated in
pastel and warm colour with parquet flooring. The seating area is
elegantly equipped with comfortable sofas and easy-chairs.
Rooms
Even in the rooms of the hotel it is possible to breath the
atmosphere of the ancient richness of the manor house, tank to the
original pavements in cotto, the stoned fireplaces, the frescoes
and the original stoves and the inscriptions that tell about the
important guests of the past, like the Granduke Leopoldo of

The restaurant 'La Perla del Palazzo' offers the typical Tuscan
cuisine in a warm atmosphere. Breakfast is served in the
magnificient original kitchen of 18th century or, during summer
season, in the terrace overlooking the Chianti wineyards.
