The hotel is in the 16th district of Paris, a select and cheerful area close to the River Seine. This is a 3-star hotel, classified as a good, superior tourist-class property. The hotel is full of charm, and offers a warm atmosphere, steeped in history.
Exterior: Built in 1850, this is a traditional, Parisian, "Haussman" style building.
Lobby: The lobby is open plan with the lounge and seating area. M. Murat was a famous soldier serving the Emperor Napoleon, and the décor of the public areas is in keeping with this theme. The impressive wood-panelled walls, carved furniture and huge frescos portraying epic battles, capture the mood of the whole period.
