The hotel offers a glimpse at Hawaii's royal past in the heart of
Waikiki. The hotel was named after Hawaii's beloved Princess
Victoria Kaiulani and it is located near the site of her garden
estate, Ainahau, where she spent her childhood. 80% of the
guestrooms are non-smoking. A charge of 200 USD reconditioning fee
will apply to a guest if a non-smoking room is found to have been
compromised.
Exterior: Three separate buildings which consist of a high-rise, a
nine-story and an eleven-story.
Lobby: Large-sized lobby has an elegant decor.
Rooms
Each of the rooms comes with an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer,
individually controllable air conditioning and heating, a direct
dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, an Internet
connection, a coffee machine, ironing equipment, a hire safe and a
double or king-sized bed. Views can be enjoyed out over the sea
from certain room balconies.
Restaurant & Food
There are two restaurants, a poolside food court and a lounge at
the hotel. One of the restaurants serves authentic Japanese dishes
for lunch and dinner. Another serves breakfast and dinner buffets
with an emphasis on seafood in the evenings, in a casual, open-air
atmosphere, with the pool just steps away. The fast-food center at
poolside includes choices of huge made-to-order sandwiches, salads,
succulent roast pork and rotisserie chicken, pizza, hot dogs,
pasta, and ice cream. The lounge is a place to enjoy the low-key
Hawaiian musical entertainment provided every evening poolside.
Activities & Sport
There is a swimming pool with a poolside snack bar offering evening
entertainment to make use of in the outdoor complex. Guests may
enjoy a work-out in the in-house gym.
Comments
There is a mandatory daily resort fee per room, per day to be paid
directly to the hotel (subject to change at any time without
notice). The hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport for
guests. This service is operated by Roberts Hawaii and can be
booked on the Starwood website or the tour and activity desks of
each hotel.
