Description

In a prime location, this premier Manchester Hotel is close to the city's financial sector, shopping, theatres and the G-Mex Exhibition centre. The famous Chinatown and The Village, with their myriad of bars and restaurants are only a few minutes walk.
Exterior: This traditional building dates back to 1857.
Lobby: The small lobby and public areas still retain some of the original architectural structure, like the sweeping staircase.

Rooms

All of the medium size rooms have en-suite Bathroom and full facilities. The decor is in fair condition, if not a little dated. As the hotel is old - the rooms vary in size from quite small to very large. Triple rooms are either a double or twin room with an extra bed (not 3 single beds).

Restaurant & Food

There are three restaurants; Crompton's which serves French cuisine, Jenny's which offers traditional English fare, and a pizzeria serving Italian cuisine. The hotel also has an extensive bar.

Directions, How to get there

From National Express Coach Station: Leave the Coach Station onto Chorlton Street. Turn Left and walk up Chorlton street (with the NCP Car Park on the left). At the top of Chorlton Street is Portland Street, turn Right. The Britannia Hotel occupies the entire block and the entrance is on the right hand side. From Piccadilly Train Station: Exit Train Station on to London Road. Turn right, and walk straight up London Road where you reach a cross roads. Go across the Cross Roads and head straight up Piccadilly to Piccadilly Gardens. At Piccadilly Gardens follow the road round to the left on to Portland Street. Head down Portland Street for approx 300m where you find your destination on the left hand side.
