This lodge combines African hospitality with luxury and comfort.
'Mokuti' is a Himba-word meaning 'in the bush' and, true to its
name, the lodge is hidden on 4300 hectares of farmland, home to
giraffe, oryx, kudu and many other species. It is the gateway to a
unique safari experience, as well as the perfect destination for
incentives, conferences, weddings and honeymoons. Renovated in
2009, this charming air-conditioned holiday village has a total of
106 guest rooms. Guests are welcomed into a lobby with 24-hour
reception and check-out service. Facilities at the hotel include a
hotel safe, currency exchange facilities and a games room. There is
a café, bar and restaurant on the premises. Two conference rooms,
both with natural daylight and conference facilities, allow for
combining business with pleasure. WLAN Internet access is also
available. Room and laundry services are offered (for a fee).
Guests arriving by car may park their vehicles in the hotel's car
park. Bicycle hire is also provided (for a fee) and there is a
children's playground.
Rooms
All rooms are equipped with twin beds (separate or together), air
conditioning, a fan, minibar, mosquito nets, safe, flat screen
satellite TV and an en suite bathroom with shower or bathtub.
Suites also have king-size beds, a separate sitting area, and
floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows with views of the waterholes. A
hairdryer, direct dial telephone, radio and individually regulated
heating are also provided. Each room has its own terrace.
Restaurant & Food
The lodge has two restaurants and 2 bars. Dinner is served in the
a-la-carte restaurant, but guests also have a choice of dinner from
the carvery buffet, a theme evening or dinner in the boma on
alternating nights. The "Boma" is a safari tradition where guests
sit under thatch and enjoy a good meal and a relaxed glass of wine
around a traditional African fire.
Activities & Sport
The hotel offers its guests the use of a spa, hot tub, steam room,
gym, 3 swimming pools with children's swimming area and a poolside
snack bar. There are sun loungers and parasols on the sun terrace.
Massage and spa treatments are available for an additional fee.
Recreational pursuits on offer include tennis, pool/snooker,
basketball and biking (the latter for a fee). There are also sun
loungers and parasols on the beach.
