The hotel was built in 1897 by the Fioroni family and renovated in 2008; it became the first hotel in Europe to have a centralised air conditioning system. By car: leave the motorway at the Genova Ovest (Genoa West) exit and head for the city centre (centro città). Follow signs for Stazione Principe (around 2 km) and the hotel is opposite the station. By train: the hotel is directly in front of Principe Station.
