From its beginnings as a royal palace, and its subsequent transformation into the headquarters of an international bank, Banke Hotel treasures more than three centuries of stories and great secrets within its walls. A historical location, during the 18th and 19th centuries occupied by the Palace and gardens of Queen Hortensia of Holland, who gave birth to her son, Emperor Napoleon III, here in 1808. The current building was built at the beginning of the 20th century to house the headquarters of the Banque Suisse et Française, and it has recently been renovated by the Derby Hotels Collection to form part of the Autograph Collection Hotels.
