The city hotel is located right in the centre of Haugesund, just 200 metres from the harbour and the main shopping street. Guests will find links to the public transport network a 3-minute walk away, and the bus station is around 600 metres. The beach in Aukra is approximately a 30-minute drive from the hotel, Skudeneshavn is around 40 minutes by car, Avaldsnes is 12 minutes, and Akrafjorden and Stavanger are both roughly 2 hours' drive.

The hotel has a long tradition and celebrated 100 years in 2010. Today, this fully refurbished, modern, city hotel offers 45 guest rooms and welcomes its guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a cloakroom and lift access. There is a library/saloon where guests can sit and relax either reading a book or watching a film. Books and films can be hired for free by guests staying at the hotel. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room and Internet access is provided. A laundry service, car park and bicycle hire service are available for additional fees.
