Comments
The Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources is conducting a
project to restore sand to approximately 1,730 feet of shoreline
from the west end of the Kuhio Beach, near the Duke Kahanamoku
statue, to the existing Royal Hawaiian groin. Restoration work will
be occuring on Waikiki Beach between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and
12:00 noon daily. Pedestrians will be able to access the ocean
during work times by crossing over the haul route at designated
crossing locations. The Diamond Head end of Kuhio basin will remain
off-limits for the duration of the project.
