The Great Barr is ideally located for Birmingham and the midlands, Literally 5 minutes drive from the M6 Jnc 7. Much easier than driving through the city centre. Leave @ Junction 7 -M6 Motorway, follow A34 towards Birmingham, at Scott Arms junction turn right onto Newton Road for approx. 1 1/4 miles then take the right filter lane just past Malt Shovel Public House to Pear Tree Drive. 8 kms to city centre 15 kms to the nearest airport (birmingham) 30 minute walk to the nearest metro station (west bromwich) 10 km to the nearest station (birmingham new street) 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop 15 km to the nearest fair site (nec)

This modern hotel is situated in attractive grounds about 5 miles from the centre of Birmingham. Due to its easy access to the city centre and distance from the M6 this is a great alternative to a city centre property. Highly recommended.
Exterior: The exterior of the Hotel is quite modern, it is low rise and is situated in a leafy green suburb of Birmingham.
Lobby: The lobby is medium sized and welcoming. It has some seating and a coffee and snack area. Coffee water and juice are available throughout the day.

Rooms
The rooms are of a very good standard, they are traditionally decorated and in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Bathrooms are clean and well designed and are mostly white tiled.

Restaurant & Food
The restaurant is situated at the back of the hotel next to the popular bar area. It serves a mix of cuisine including some local favourites and European dishes. The hotel serves an excellent full breakfast.
