The combination of first-class facilities and warm and friendly service makes the hotel the perfect escape, or an ideal base from which to discover tropical North Queensland's reef, rainforest and outback. The hotel is a 150-room boutique club resort-style property, which surrounds a landscaped courtyard of lush, tropical gardens and swimming pools. The establishment is air-conditioned and facilities include a lobby, room and laundry services and a car park.

All rooms are well-appointed and have balconies overlooking the swimming pools and gardens. Rooms are furnished with king-size beds. Each of the units include standard amenities such as air conditioning, a TV, telephone, safe and a hairdryer. Moreover, each room has an en suite bathroom with a shower and a bath. Tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and an ironing set are also standard features in all accommodation units.

There is a cafe in the hotel that is open for breakfast only. The resort also offers guests a complimentary transfer (5min drive) and 20% off their food bill when they dine (lunch or dinner) at the Cairns Colonial Club Resort (sister property). The Cairns Colonial Club Resort's Homestead Restaurant and Bar is open nightly and offers a choice of a buffet with soup, salad and dessert, with an optional a la carte main course at an additional charge.

There are three tropical swimming pools at the hotel, a beach-style swimming pool and spa, a 25-metre lap pool and a dive pool. Guests can also pamper themselves with a spa treatment.
