This hostel was opened in 2005 and comprises 1 main building and 2
annexes with 5 floors each and a total of 212 rooms. Single, twin
and shared rooms are on offer. With over 80 beds in shared rooms
and 50 in twin rooms, the hostel provides outstanding accommodation
for both families and large groups. The welcoming receptions offers
guests a lobby area with a 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a
cloakroom and lifts. Further facilities include a cafe, a newspaper
stand and a bar. Meeting room with the appropriate technical
equipment may be made available on request. WLAN/Internet access
and bicycle hire complete the range of services on offer. Cars may
be parked in the garage.
Rooms
Each room comes with an en suite bathroom with shower or bathtub, a
WC and a hairdryer. Further facilities available in the rooms
include central heating and a balcony.
Restaurant & Food
Guests may select their breakfast from a buffet. This establishment
offers half-board or full-board stays.
Comments
Pets are allowed in the single and twin rooms, for a surcharge per
night, on request. For the shared rooms, a one-time charge will be
made for bed linen, where this is required. In the single and twin
bed rooms, breakfast, bed linen and towels are included in the
price of the room. Guests are requested to check out by 10 am (on
weekends by 11 am) and may check in from 3 pm. The hotel is a
non-smoking hotel with no areas for smokers.
Directions, How to get
there
By plane: take the urban train service (S-Bahn) line S1 or S8 and
get off at the Hackerbrücke stop. From here, go right into
Grasserstrasse and, at the first junction, go left into
Arnulfstrasse. By car: guests coming from the A8 to Augsburg, take
the exit for München-Obermenzing and turn right into Verdistrasse
(which turns into Amalienbergstrasse, Menzingstrasse,
Notburgastrasse and, finally, Arnulfstrasse). Guests coming from
Berlin, Leipzig, Nuremburg, Regensburg, Landshut/Munich Airport
(A9/A92): leave the A9 at junction 76 signposted München-Schwabing
at the Neufahrn interchange. Follow the B2r. Turn right into
Schenkendorfstrasse and follow the Petueltunnel/Petuelring (which
turns into Georg-Brauchle-Ring). From there, turn left into
Landshuter Allee, then right over Donnersberger Bridge and finally
right into Arnulfstrasse. Guests coming from Salzburg, Austria:
leave the A8 at the München-Süd interchange and take the A995. Turn
off the A995 towards the Tegernsee road. Go straight on, onto
Martin Luther Strasse, Giesinger Berg, Humboldtstrasse,
Wittelsbacherbrücke, Baldeplatz, Kapuzinerstrasse, Lindwurmstrasse,
Herzog Heinrich Strasse and Paul Heyse Strasse to the Paul Heyse
underpass. The next bend is then Arnulfstrasse. Guests coming from
Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Starnberg: follow the A95 to the end and
turn left into Luise Kiesselbach Platz. Go straight on into
Garmischer Strasse, Trappentreustraße, Donnersberger Bridge, and
then turn left into Arnulfstrasse. By train: take the urban rail
service (S-Bahn) one stop from Munich Central Station, using either
the lines S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7 or S27 and get out at the stop
Hackerbrücke. From there turn right into Grasserstrasse and left at
the first crossroads into Arnulfstrasse.
