Exterior: Designed to evoke an image of a grand palace on the
mythical Lost Continent of Atlantis, Royal Towers offers 1,201 air
conditioned guestrooms in two salmon colored wings topped by spires
colored like weathered bronze and connected at the ground floor
level. The East Wing rises in three steps of 12, 16, and 24
stories. The West Wing rises in steps of 16 and 20 stories.
Lobby: Called Great Hall of Waters, the massive and fanciful lobby
features a three-story dome ceiling, intricately carved columns,
and vividly colored frescos of Atlanteans' imagined life.
Rooms
The standard rooms feature a French balcony, and the suites offer a
full balcony. All rooms and suites offer terrace, harbour or water
views. All come with a private bathroom with a shower/bathtub and a
hairdryer and offer a king-size or double bed. They are equipped
with a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio,
Internet access and a safe. Furthermore, a minibar/fridge, tea and
coffee making facilities, an ironing set and air conditioning are
provided in all accommodation as standard. All accommodation units
also feature either a balcony or a terrace.
Restaurant & Food
The resort includes a large variety of restaurants, bars, and
lounges as well as poolside snack-and-beverage carts. Seagrapes,
located in the Beach Tower and open for breakfast, lunch and
dinner, serves dishes from around the world in an upbeat atmosphere
featuring views of a lagoon full of exotic marine animals. Beach
Tower Lobby Lounge for coffee drinks, bagels, pastries and
cocktails day and evening. The Cave Bar and Grill is an open-air
lunch spot featuring underwater views of marine life and serves
burgers, hot dogs, salads, ice cream. The following restaurants are
located between the Beach and Coral Towers: Villa D'Este Northern
Italian cuisine under frescoed ceiling; Mama Loo's specializing in
traditional Chinese recipes, Bahamian Club, a superb dining
experience with gourmet salads, followed by the finest cuts of
steak, including Chateaubriand for two. Casa Angelo, Nobu, Cafe
Martinique and Mesa grill, only allow children ages 12 and older,
there are no child menus and strollers are not allowed.
Activities & Sport
Guests can explore the ruins of Atlantis in The Dig, challenge the
Mayan Temple's water slides, enjoy 11 swimming areas and the
Mandara Spa as well as Aquaventure and a sports centre, and a
world-class marina. Guests can also take advantage of the poolside
snack bar, sun loungers and parasols (both for an additional fee),
and it is also possible to relax with a massage treatment. Sports
enthusiasts may enjoy a work-out in the gym and watersports fans
will enjoy the waterskiing, diving, banana boating and catamaran
sailing. There are tennis and table tennis facilities and golf fans
can play a round at the nearby Ocean Club golf course, just 1 km
from the resort. Moreover, the resort puts on entertainment
programmes for adults and children and there are sun loungers and
parasols available for use on the sandy beach.
