Guests may unwind in Gothic grandeur in the heart of the Yorkshire Brontë country. Set in a Gothic style mansion surrounded by eight acres of landscaped gardens, this is peaceful retreat a short stroll from the banks of the River Aire. Inside, guests will find a mix of contemporary décor and 1930s glamour - the Art Deco ballroom makes an elegant backdrop for weddings. The property was built in 1848 and comprises 103 guest rooms. Guests are welcomed in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Facilities on offer to guests include a bar, restaurant, room service and a car park.

Guests can rest well on crisp white bedding and a comfortable Hypnos or Sealy bed in a standard room or they may settle down at the end of a busy day to watch movies on demand or freshen up with a hot shower or bath in the en suite bathroom. Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, double or king-size bed, a direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, a radio, Internet access, tea and coffee making facilities and an ironing set.

The extensive brasserie menu features traditional British and international cuisine. Guests can enjoy their meal in the brightly decorated modern Arts Brasserie overlooking the gardens, or in the privacy of their guestroom.

By car: From the A1 southbound - follow the A1/A1M southbound past Wetherby. Take the slip road exit to Boston Spa to join the A659 to Collingham. Follow the road for approximately 1.6 km. At the junction turn left onto the A58 towards Leeds. Continue on the A58 until reaching the roundabout junction with the A6120 Leeds Outer Ring Road. At the roundabout take the third exit onto the A6120. Continue to the third roundabout and take the third exit onto the A660 signposted Skipton. Continue a further 3 km along the A660, and the hotel is on the right hand side.
