This accommodation is a unique and contemporary wilderness retreat
on the edge of the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain/Lake St.
Clair National Park. Here, ancient mountain peaks and
thousand-year-old trees are reflected in mirror-like lakes and each
season brings new delights to enjoy. Days are filled with simple
pleasures, including sampling fine Tasmanian food and wine. The
lodge comprises 86 accommodation units and features a lobby,
Internet access, laundry service and a car park.
Rooms
The lodge's individual timber cabins are set in the wilderness, and
all feature a wood or gas fire, as well as a private bathroom with
toilet and shower. Amenities include hairdryer, alarm clock, table
and chairs, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge and an ironing
set. The guest cabins do not feature televisions, but televisions
are available in the lodge itself. The cabins are serviced daily to
help guests leave the outside world behind.
Restaurant & Food
The restaurant is a premier dining experience offering beautiful
fresh Tasmanian produce. It is open for Breakfast, Morning tea &
Dinner (bookings required for dinner). The Tavern Bar and Bistro
has a rustic tavern atmosphere. The Weindorfer Lodge is like a
private club lounge and there is also a guest Lounge Bar.
Activities & Sport
Guests looking for total relaxation can book themselves in for a
massage treatment (fees apply).

From 25-27 June 2011, Cradle Mountain Lodge will once again host
Tasmania's premier culinary event 'Tastings at the Top', a 3 day
festival rated among the country's best food and wine
experiences.Please note that the Highland Restaurant will be closed
for dinner during this time for the Tastings at the Top function.
Lunch and dinnerwill be available in the Tavern Bar & Bistro as
normal.
Directions, How to get
there
The lodge offers a scheduled guest transfer service 4 days a week
between Devonport and Voyages Cradle Mountain Lodge using modern,
comfortable and fully air-conditioned Land Cruisers or minibuses.
Car rental is available through all major car rental companies at
the airport or city locations from Launceston (drive time
approximately 2.5 hours), Burnie (approximately 1 hour and 30
minutes) and Devonport (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes).
