The recent past of this 17th/18th Century ancestral mansion is
closely linked to the arts and literature. The main door leads to
bright, welcoming common rooms with wooden floors and ornamental,
traditional-style furniture and décor. The air-conditioned hotel
offers 28 rooms in total and offers a lobby with 24-hour reception,
a hotel safe, currency exchange facility and lift access. A café,
bar, restaurant, TV room and Internet access all feature. Room and
laundry services are also offered. Parking facilities are available
to guests arriving by car.
Rooms
Rooms come with large windows and balconies overlooking the garden,
creating an idyllic rural setting. An en suite bathroom, hairdryer,
direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, Internet access, minibar
and a double bed come as standard. The rooms also offer
individually adjustable air conditioning, central heating and a
safe deposit box.
Restaurant & Food
The dining room has a nice beamed ceiling and soft painted walls
with large windows on one of its sides. Traditional lamps hang from
the ceiling and traditional furniture completes its decoration. In
the restaurant highland and Liebana stews are served as well as
grilled baby beef sirloin and the typical dessert "quesada pasiega"
(cheese pastry).
Comments
The town is quite small and has only 3 streets, with the hotel
located in the centre on the main square. There is restricted
access for cars in the town, but this should not be a problem for
guests as parking is available at the hotel (subject to
reservation).
