This golf resort, which was renovated in 2009, offers luxury
accommodation in this historic and majestic destination. It has 175
rooms in total and is renowned for its warm, welcoming five star
service. It has a lobby with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe,
café, luxury day spa, health and fitness centre, 27 hole
golf course, four restaurants (including fine dining, brasserie
style and Japanese), conference venues and facilities, Internet and
WLAN access (the latter subject to fees), room service (charges
apply), laundry services and cycle hire. The Hole In One Bar is the
perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink, while younger guests are
sure to enjoy the playground facilities. Parking facilities are
available to guests arriving by car.
Rooms
Rooms at Millbrook are designed as self-contained buildings. The
Village Inn rooms are approximately 50 square metres, and feel very
spacious. They are beautifully decorated and furnished in the
highest standards. Large king size beds as well as a lounge area.
The bathrooms are also spacious with separate shower unit and
bathtub. The rooms also have a small patio area, and because of
their design also each have a small garden leading to the entrance.
Rooms have tea/coffee facilities, mini-bar, iron and ironing board,
and large TV's with cable channels.
Restaurant & Food
There are three restaurants offering quite different food and
beverages. The Club house is the fine dining restaurant serving the
best New Zealand and Pacific Rim cuisine. Sala Sala is an excellent
Japanese restaurant and the Millhouse Cafe offers an upmarket cafe
menu.
Activities & Sport
Facilities include a 27-hole championship golf course with 3 nine
holes, a world class luxury day spa facility with ten treatment
rooms and the complimentary Health and Fitness centre, with
Jacuzzis, tennis courts, an indoor heated swimming pool, gym,
saunas and free fitness classes. Winter sports such as skiing and
snowboarding can also be found in the area, with over four ski
fields within easy driving distance. The spa has a comprehensive
treatment menu featuring massages, facials, manicures etc. Walking
and biking trails are throughout the resort and bikes are available
to hire.
Comments
There is a complimentary shuttle bus service to Arrowtown on demand
and a free scheduled shuttle service to and from Queenstown.
Airport transfers can be arranged for a fee. Local activity booking
service also available with the chief concierge.
Directions, How to get
there
The hotel is located only 20 minutes from the Queenstown Airport.
Taxis and local buses can be taken from the airport to the hotel,
however the hotel does offer an airport transfer facility for a
fee. Those choosing to self drive can follow the directions to
Arrowtown and there is plenty of parking at the hotel.
