Fully renovated in 2009, this venerable 168-room hotel was
originally built some 70 years ago by the members of the kibbutz
Kfar Giladi. Fully air-conditioned, it welcomes guests into a lobby
with a 24-hour reception and check-out service, safe, currency
exchange facilities and lift access. Further facilities include a
games room, kids' club, café, bar, restaurant and nightclub.
Business guests will appreciate the conference facilities and
Internet access, and laundry services are also offered. There is a
car park for those arriving by vehicle.
Rooms
The spacious guest rooms come equipped with double beds, a direct
dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, a radio, a refrigerator, an
ironing set, and tea and coffee-making facilities. The en suite
bathrooms have been fitted with a shower, bath and hairdryer and
all rooms feature individually regulated air conditioning and
heating as standard.
Restaurant & Food
The hotel serves a full Israeli breakfast and a buffet dinner
daily, whereas lunch is only served on Saturdays. There is a dairy
restaurant in the lobby which is open until late and offers a range
of dishes and beverages. Packed breakfasts or lunches are available
upon request.
Activities & Sport
The hotel features an indoor heated swimming pool and an outdoor
swimming pool which is open from mid-June to September, when sun
loungers and parasols are provided. Guests can use the gym and dry
sauna free of charge and the hotel spa offers a variety of massage
and other treatments (fees apply). Guests can also play table
tennis and basketball on site and biking and horse riding
excursions can be arranged (fees apply to the latter). The hotel
also features evening entertainment all year round, as well as a
variety of activities for the entire family during the summer and
on Jewish holidays.
Comments
There is 24 hour service at the reception desk. The hotel is
located in kibbutz Kfar Giladi in a central area of the Upper
Galillee with the Canada Centre in Metulla close by, along with
kayaks and rafting on the Jordan rivers, the Manara cliff and cable
car, the HaShomer museum, Tel Hai museum etc., with a ski area not
far away during the winter months. At the entrance of the Kibbutz,
there is a breathtaking view of the entire area where the main
statue depicting the heroism of the Ha'Shomer movement: "The
roaring lion" is located.
Directions, How to get
there
At the Golani Junction, take route 65 (north) to the Kedarim
junction. Turn right and follow route 85 to the Ammiad junction.
Turn left and follow route 90 (north) to Qiryat Shmona, then
continue straight through Qiryat Shmona and drive up the hill to
the Tel Hai junction (approximately 2 kms). Turn left and travel
about 1 km to kibbutz Kfar Giladi. Turn right and follow the signs
to the hotel.
