Hainan (abbreviation: Qiong) is the smallest province of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) with Haikou city as the capital. Haikou is the political, economic, cultural, and transportation center of the whole province. Hainan is located in the South China Sea. This province has warm weather and has no winter. It was called the Pearl Cliffs or Fine Jade Cliffs. There are 4,600 kinds of plants and more than 570 species of animals live in this province.
