The journey from Bangkok to Koh Tao consists of two parts: from Bangkok to Chumphon and from the pier at Chumphon to Koh Tao by boat. The most favoured way of getting to the resort on Koh Tao from Bangkok via Chumphon is to use the bus/boat combination, the tickets for which are available from many travel agencies on Thanon Khao San.
