The old house is a beautifully restored old Madeiran house with traditional architecture and furnishings, with a hall leading to the veranda, the lounge, the dining room and reception. The Veranda, occupying the whole front of the olde house, offers views of the town and the sea. The new wing, is well appointed in contemporary design, and is connected to the old house reception area. There is a small reception, a sitting area and a lift leading to all floors and the undergroung car par. The sitting are and book corner, on the 1st floor offer a selection of books and Madeiran reference books. Also on the 1st floor, the business corner can be found with writing desk, tables and chairs, a PC with internet coneection for free use of the guests. The underground parking has lift access to all floors. The mature gardens, offer meandering paths in local stone, flower beds and old trees, a traditional Madeiran Casa de Prazeres, a small garden conservatory, with a sitting area and a Chapel which may be used by guests for worship.

The contemporary design studios are large, and feature double glazed sliding doors with views of the gardens (and partial views through the mature trees of the town and sea from the superior view studios). Each have adjoining twin beds, a dressing table, a large wardrobe, a table and 2 chairs, a shower room with a large walk-in shower, toilet, bidet and hand basin, a small kitchenette, ideal for preparing breakfast or the odd snack. They all offer air conditioning and heating, a large flat screen TV with 30 international cable channels, internet access, direct dial telephone, and safe.

It is a self catering property, but the following extra services are also available: snacks, tea, coffee and soft drinks can be served throughout the day in the dining room, veranda or the pregola area; evening meal (notice required) may be cooked on request by the resident chef, and served in the dining room or veranda.

To arrive to the hotel drive along the Via Rápida (motorway) in direction of Funchal, and take exit nº 12. Came down into town, passing by the Mercedes then stand on always on your right across the traffic lights by the Fire Station also across the traffic lights next to a tunnel. The next set of traffic lights is on a main street. Unfortunately, is not possible turn left, so guests have to carry on ahead for a short distance until the next set of traffic lights and turn left across a small bridge and then left again to go back on yourself. Change to the right hand lane and take the right filter (turn right) at the traffic lights. Approximately 80 meters along guests come to a roundabout, go right around it and take the second exit.
