This is a great brand new - 1st august 2009 - backpacker property. In the centre of the city. The rooms are very high standard for a backpackers, probably equal to a new 3 star hotel. It has the advantage of the buzz and atmosphere of a backpackers but with the benefits of private ensuite rooms. Public areas include a large communal kitchen, lounge and internet terminals and a cinema room showing sports and films each night. Complimentary light meals include breakfast and dinner and free coffee and tea. There is also a laundry room (fee payable) and a small sauna. A great option for those looking for a budget stay with a lively atmosphere in this great resort destination.
Exterior: A brand new four storey building with a local stone exterior with attractive copper edging.
Lobby: A medium size lobby with a travel desk and internet lounge adjoining.

Many of the hotel's guestrooms have balconies from which guests can enjoy views of the mountains. En suite bathrooms have a shower and hairdryer. Rooms feature king-size beds, satellite/cable TV, Internet access, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing set, individually regulated heating and air conditioning. All dorm rooms offer lockers, hanging space and reading lights for every bed.

There is no restaurant on site, but there is a commercial sized kitchen as is expected from a backpackers. The property has lots of restaurants and cafes very close by.

The lounge in the hotel is complete with a fireplace, Internet access, travel desk and ski storage. The hotel also has a sauna, BBQ area, spa and more. Sun loungers are also available to guests.

Located in the heart of Queenstown, Nomads Queenstown is just a short 15 minute drive, shuttle ride or bus ride from Queenstown Airport.
