The hotel is located on the historic side of Tangier, in the heart of the Medina (old city), offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean bay and the straits of Gibraltar, some five minutes from the port and just a short walk from restaurants, bars and the beach. The charming hotel, built in 1870 by a British family and renovated in 2007, remains one of the more distinguished hotels of Tangier, used by various celebrities. Many producers chose this location to shoot their movies. Nowadays it is listed as a National Heritage site.
