This is one of the newest resorts on the island and has captured
the combination of chic style while retaining the high level of
service that Mauritian properties are known for. The 2000 square
metre spa is one of the centrepieces of the resort, featuring
twenty massage cabins and various spa programmes. In addition, the
resort is collaborating with its neighboring property in a joint
venture to run a restaurant at a nearby former sugar plantation.
Guests will have the opportunity to dine at the
plantation,overlooking beautiful gardens and the sea. Lastly, the
property features an 18-hole golf course set on 100 acres with
views of the sea on one side and mountains on the other and reduced
green fees are available for guests.
Exterior: The resort is comprised of several earth-colored
buildings, each with a maximum of three floors. Each building faces
the sea and is located adjacent to the main pool and restaurant
areas. The spa area (located behind the room buildings) is the
largest on the island and was created to resemble an African
village. As well, this property offers guests the choice of two
pools and a championship golf course overlooking the Indian
Ocean.
Lobby: The medium-sized lobby opens up to the pool and restaurant
area and houses the resort's own boutique. WiFi internet access is
available here for a charge.
Rooms
All rooms are decorated in a refined style inspired by chic ethnic
themes which conjure up an atmosphere that is both tropical and
African. Each of the rooms is spacious and comfortable and opens
onto its own private and comfortable terrace, a stone's throw away
from the two swimming pools or on the edge of the beach. The en
suite bathrooms with shower/bath and hairdryer reflect the latest
in contemporary design, with their square basins and oval baths
framed in black stone. Rooms include double or king-size beds,
direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, Internet access, safe,
minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing set and
individually regulated air conditioning.
Restaurant & Food
buffet-style for breakfast and dinner. A second restaurant offers
guests a fine-dining option for dinner with a fusion menu. The pool
bar offers light snacks during lunch and the beach restaurant
allows guests to sample the local cuisine in a casual setting for
lunch or dinner.
Activities & Sport
The hotel offers a wide array of land and water sports for those
who seek outdoor and dynamic activities during their holiday. For
golfers, it features an 18-hole golf course overlooking the ocean.
It also includes two of the most beautiful well-being centres in
the Indian Ocean area, with massage and spa treatments (fees
apply). The complex includes three outdoor swimming pools, with a
children's swimming area and poolside snack bar. Sun loungers and
parasols are available on the sun terrace. Guests also have access
to the gym, sauna and steam room. Sun loungers and parasols are
provided on the nearby sandy beach.
