Situated on the beachfront together with the ClubHotel Riu Garopa, the complex is set on the south-west corner of the island of Sal, at Ponta Preta and 1.5 km away from the town of Santa Maria.

This beach club resort was officially opened in 2005 and is the largest hotel on the island of Sal. There is a central building, and various two-storey annexes, built in Moorish style housing a total of 500 guest rooms. Sharing the resort with the Hotel Riu Garopa, the hotel offers visitors a wide range of entertainment and services designed to ensure an unforgettable holiday. Facilities on offer to guests include a lobby with 24-hour reception, a hairdressing salon, children's playground, bar, disco, restaurant and Internet access. A laundry service provides additional convenience (for a fee).

Rooms
All rooms are equipped with an in-room safe, an en suite bathroom with shower, a hairdryer, a telephone, central air conditioning and a ceiling fan. A mini fridge, satellite TV and a balcony or terrace also come in each room as standard.

Activities & Sport
The activities offered by the hotel include table tennis, aerobics, shuffleboard, airgun shooting, an aqua gym, beach volleyball, a multipurpose sports pitch, racquets and tennis balls (deposit required). Pool/snooker is provided for a fee. Additionally there is a gym, hot tub and sauna available on site. Guests may take a refreshing dip in the outdoor swimming pool and children can enjoy their own swimming area. Sun loungers and parasols are laid out on the sun terrace and on the beach for use. Entertainment programmes are offered both for children and for adults.
