Exterior: The 14-story, 83-room hotel is the work of its owner,
Greek born, Eleni Skalbania, who purchased it as existing property
and turned it into the exclusive Wedgewood. After personally
supervising all construction, Eleni continues to handle the
interior decorating, adding her personal antiques and works of art
to accent the Wedgewood?s public areas and guestrooms.
Lobby: The lobby is medium in size, richly decorated and has quiet
seating for reading or conversation.
Rooms
The rooms are elegantly decorated with fine antique pieces and
original works of art from the personal collection of the owner,
and come with an en suite bathroom with bath, shower and hairdryer,
an Internet connection, a radio and satellite/ cable TV. Further
fittings include a small fridge, a hire safe, tea and coffee making
facilities, and an iron and ironing board. The heating and air
conditioning are individually adjustable. A balcony is also present
in every room, while the suites are more spacious and feature a
separate sitting area.
Restaurant & Food
The restaurant is cosily panelled and discreetly lit and features
one of Vancouver's most talented chefs, evident in the slow-cooked
textures and concentrated flavours of the finished plate. It has
received awards like the Gold for ?Best Bar/Lounge in Vancouver ?,
Silver for "Best Formal French Dining" from Vancouver Magazine's
2009 Restaurant Awards. A first-rate rendezvous the restaurant also
