The club resort offers exceptional accommodation and impeccable
service in a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel also offers guests
access to natural attractions like Milford Sound, Dunedin, and the
Fox Glacier. The resort is set in its own park-like grounds,
offering relaxation for holidaymakers and business travellers
alike. There are 104 rooms available and guests are welcomed into a
lobby with a 24-hour reception with facilities including a currency
exchange, a hairdressing salon, a bar and a restaurant. There are
conference facilities available to business travellers and all
guests can take advantage of the hotel's room service. Guests
arriving by car may park their vehicles in the hotel's car
park.
Rooms
The resort's guest rooms include one-bedroom suites and two-bedroom
apartments. The rooms offer amenities such as laundry facilities,
en suite bathrooms with a bath, kitchenette areas with a fridge and
microwave, and dining and living areas. The hotel rooms are more
traditional, lacking the kitchenettes and laundry facilities, but
featuring different bed sizes and complimentary coffee and tea
making facilities. Other amenities provided include a hairdryer, a
direct dial telephone, a TV, Internet access and an ironing set.
Individually regulated air conditioning is a standard feature in
all accommodation.
Restaurant & Food
The on-site Wineglass Cafe and Bar offers a fresh à la carte
local seasonal menu set on shores of the lake. It is open daily for
brunch and extending all day with freshly homemade scones, local
New Zealand wines into the late evening with a tapas menu and local
Cardrona lamb. The Sargoods restaurant is open daily for
breakfast.
Activities & Sport
With a children's playground, two tennis courts, sauna, spas,
mini-golf course as well as bikes and kayaks to hire it is assured
guests will be busy all day long.
Directions, How to get
there
From Ardmore St in Central Wanaka guests should drive south west -
this road continues as Wanaka Mt Aspiring Road. Then they should
turn right into Sargood Drive. The hotel is located on the right
hand side of the road, approximately 2 km from the Wanaka Mt
Aspiring Road turnoff.
