Hout Bay Manor

Built in 1871, the family-friendly hotel is one of Cape Town's most graceful landmarks with 20 individually designed rooms, a fine dining restaurant and a boutique boardroom. It has preserved the history and heritage while infusing the interiors with Zulu and Xhosa chic decor to celebrate the vibrant pulse of South Africa. Guests can relax under magnificent old oak trees in the tranquil setting of the indigenous private garden. Guests are welcomed in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, as well as a hotel safe, and further facilities include a bar and Internet access. Guests may also make use of the room and laundry services, a car park and a bicycle hire service.

All rooms offer an en suite bathroom with shower, bathtub and hairdryer, a double or king-size bed, and a private balcony or terrace. Other in-room amenities include a safe, plasma screen satellite TV, a telephone, minibar and individually regulated air conditioning and heating.

Guests should take the N2 to Cape Town. Follow the signs to M3 Muizenberg (Kirstenbosch) past the University of Cape Town. At the first traffic light turn right into Rhodes Drive following the signs to Kirstenbosch and Hout Bay. At the bottom of Constantia Nek there is a roundabout. Continue straight into Main Road. Once in Hout Bay Village guests will pass a Shell garage on the left. Take the next turn left under the 'Hout Bay Manor' archway. The hotel is 500 m down the road on the left.
