Situated close to the Champs Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe and the Place de la Concorde, this hotel is in the heart of Paris, within easy reach of shopping centres. Recently relaunched by a talented chef from nice, the Velvet restaurant welcomes its guests in a bright, contemporary atmosphere with a ?Bistrot-chic?, elegant, intimate style. Food wise, the Velvet offers a straightforward, instinctive cuisine, which is therefore tasty, with regional accents often, but not always, from the Mediterranean.

The bedrooms hotel Beauchamps boasts 89 bedrooms. Spread across six floors with various decors and categories, bedrooms all have views onto either the rue de Ponthieu or the rue du Colisée or onto a courtyard. The bedrooms are in one of three dominant tones: copper, sand or celadon. In the majority of rooms a large fabric reproduction of a Victor Hugo drawing covers a whole wall, behind the bed head. The other walls are cream coloured, complementing the carpet in saffron and khaki tones. A small wooden cupboard, in Chinese coral lacquer waits to hold clothes and valuable accessories (minibar, safe etc). The high comfortable beds have white duvets, a braided bedspread and tailored cushions adding effect to the tone. Articulated bedside lamps frame a bed, rather like an artist?s workshop and the furniture is equally as simple; a cedar wood desk with simple lines, a contemporary armchair and a plain lamp. White nets and double curtains drape the windows. A mirrored sliding door enlarges the space and opens into the bathroom. The rooms are equipped with a shower or a bath.
