Dunk Island Resort

Dunk Island is Australia's most beautiful tropical rainforest island. This island of peace and plenty offers an amazing variety of activities, facilities and experiences. The resort has a lobby with hotel-safe, currency exchange facility, a restaurant, conference facilities, Internet access and a laundry service.

The Beachfront rooms are situated beachside and offer easy access to the beach through a tropical garden. Upstairs rooms have balconies and downstairs rooms have a patio that leads into the gardens and onto the beach. Garden Rooms are set amongst tropical gardens, and are just a short stroll from the central complex, resort facilities and beach. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, with most offering views over Brammo Bay. A hairdryer, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, radio, minibar/fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, ironing set and individually-adjustable air conditioning all come as standard.

There is a variety of restaurants and bars on Dunk Island, to suit every taste and budget. Beachcomber Restaurant is the resort's main restaurant, specialising in fresh tropical-style cuisine.

Staying here, guests have an enormous variety of activities to choose from such as many complimentary non-motorised water sports and island activities, with a round of golf on Dunk's picturesque 9-hole course being a great way to spend an afternoon. A dip in the swimming pool, catamaran sailing, table tennis, squash, basketball, beach volleyball and badminton are all options. Those wishing to hone their physiques are recommended a trip to the gym. An entertainment programme for children is also offered.

Air Transfer: Hinterland Aviation operates flights between Cairns Airport and Dunk Island up to 3 times daily. Alternatively, if you would prefer a private transfer charter flights are also available. Flights take approximately 45 minutes. Passengers must advise their connecting flight details at least 7 days prior to departure for coach transfers from the main terminal at Cairns to the Hinterland Aviation terminal.
