A hotel with 288 rooms, opened in 2007, is spread over two separate blocks and situated in one of the area's oldest housing estates. It exemplifies the unique planning and architectural style typical of British public housing from the same period. The first former Singapore Improvement Trust flats to be converted into a hotel, the property consists of two pre-war buildings, complete with original facades. The buildings are situated on opposite sides of the main road and are connected by an air-conditioned, overhead link bridge.
