Steeped in tradition, this original resort and casino is an impressive turn-of-the-century stone building. The resort is the only project in Canada where a First Nation decided to turn an icon of an often sad period of its history into a powerful economic engine by converting an old Indian residential school into an international resort destination. It offers 125 rooms, including 49 single rooms, 73 double/twin rooms, 1 junior suite and 2 suites. Air conditioning, a lobby, 24-hour reception and check-out, a hotel safe, lift access, a pub and a number of restaurants are provided. 372 m² of meeting space and the 1767 m² Casino of the Rockies also feature. Room service is available for a fee, and free unlimited parking is available to guests arriving by car. A complimentary airport shuttle service is provided. There is also a shuttle service offering frequent daily trips from the Casino of the Rockies to Cranbrook (complimentary).
This golf and casino resort is located 10 minutes from Cranbrook, British Columbia, and 20 minutes from the picturesque town of Kimberley. It is framed by the Canadian Rockies, the Purcell Mountains and the St. Mary's river. It is also just minutes from the Fort Steele heritage town and the Canadian Museum of Rail Travel. Cranbrook/Canadian Rockies International Airport is 5 minutes away.
