The Goring

This family-friendly hotel has been run by 4 generations of the same family for a century. Today the charming hotel stands as a bastion of quality and absolute individuality. From the start, the secret of its success has been the understanding of what guests expect, luxurious comfort, good food and drink and the most attentive service. The air-conditioned establishment comprises 69 guest rooms and welcomes its guests into a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities and a cloakroom. On-site facilities include lift access, a bar, a restaurant, conference facilities and wireless access. Fees apply for the 24-hour room service and laundry service, and the car park and garage.

Every bedroom and suite is unique, yet all are spacious, sumptuously decorated and furnished, and laden with delightful, considerate touches. English opulence is apparent throughout. With high-speed Internet access, individually regulated air conditioning and heating, and twice daily housekeeping services, the rooms provide a sense of tranquillity unique to London. The en suite bathrooms come with a bathtub and a hairdryer, and in-room amenities include a direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, a radio, an ironing set and a safe.

The Dining room has been recently redesigned. The Goring's restaurant is one of the most famous hotel restaurants in London, offering superbly cooked British food, and it has become through the years a highlight of the London scene.

All guests can enjoy complimentary membership of a local health club with pool and gym, which is only five minutes' walk from the hotel. The concierge can also arrange golf, tennis, riding and jogging, almost any sporting activity guests can think of. (Additional fees may apply to some sports).

Please note that the dining room is closed for lunch on Saturdays. Lunch is available on Saturdays in the Goring Bar and Lounge.

From Heathrow: Take the M4 to central London, following signs for Victoria. Turn right into Beeston Place, off Lower Grosvenor Place (the hotel is just about the only luxury central London hotel that is not situated within either the original or extended congestion charge zone. It is possible to drive to the hotel for free using the uncharged road). From Victoria Station: Take Victoria Street exit turning left towards the lights. Once at the lights, cross Buckingham Palace Road so that Grosvenor gardens are on the left-hand side. Beeston Place is the first road on the right.
