The Cellars-Hohenort

With its understated elegance and charm, the hotel boasts 53 luxury rooms and suites, with breathtaking views across the 3.5 hectares of world-renowned gardens and vineyards. Guests are welcomed in the lobby, which also offers a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities and a cloakroom. The air-conditioned hotel also has a hairdressing salon and collection boutique. The bar and restaurant offer dining and drinks, and conference facilities are also available. For additional fees, guests may take advantage of room service and the laundry service. The hotel has a car park available to guests and offers a bicycle hire service.

Each room is individually decorated with great style and appointed with exquisite antiques and an array of original paintings by South African artists. The en suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, bath and hairdryer. Rooms have double beds, satellite/cable TV, Internet access, a radio, safe, minibar and ironing set. Individually regulated air conditioning and heating ensures guests' comfort throughout the year. A balcony or terrace also features as standard.

The Greenhouse restaurant offers buffet and à la carte breakfast as well as à la carte dinner. Lunch can also be taken à la carte in the Bistro restaurant.

The hotel has two heated swimming pools, a tennis court and a chipping and putting green designed by Gary Player. The spa awaits those in need of complete relaxation, with spa and massage treatments offered for a fee. Sun loungers and parasols are provided on the sun terrace. Check-in is at 2 pm and check-out is by 11 am.

Travel on the N2 highway towards Cape Town, and take the turnoff to 'Muizenberg, M3' to the left. Continue along the M3 (Edinburgh Drive) past the suburbs of Claremont, Bishop's Court and Wynberg. Take exit 14 off the M3. Turn left at the intersection, travelling under the bridge. At the 2nd set of traffic lights, turn right into Brommersvlei Road. The entrance to the hotel will be on the left, 2.5 km down Brommersvlei Road.
