In 2003 the late 19th Century building, in which this hotel is housed, was carefully restored. It once belonged to a noble Florentine family who turned it into their residence. Rooms
The Eleonora Duse room, situated on the ground floor, offers its guests an atmosphere from times gone by, called to mind by the 18th/19th century furnishings of the elegant Louis XVI wardrobe and Napoleon III chest of drawers. There is a spacious bathroom adjoining the room, featuring polychrome marble finishings and guests are invited to relax in its hydro-massage spa bath with early 20th century surrounds and antique white Carrara marble washbasin. The suites are all decorated with antique furniture. The lovely bathrooms also provide the comfort of a large shower. The luxury of a large bedroom, an authentic living room with period furniture and the delicious coffee corner give a real atmosphere of serenity. Directions, How to get there
Directions for guests coming by car from Florence: On leaving the town centre, follow the green signs for the A11 to Firenze Mare (Viareggio) in the direction of Pisa until the Lucca exit. Bear right until the deviation to Viareggio (spur road) and proceed along the Viareggio motorway until coming to the turn-off for the A12 Genova-Livorno motorway in the direction of Genova. Take the first exit to Versilia-Forte dei Marmi-Pietrasanta. Directions for those coming from Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport: On leaving the airport, follow the green signs for the A12 Genova-Livorno motorway in the direction of Genova. After about 35 km, take the Versilia-Forte dei Marmi-Pietrasanta exit. Turn left at the 1st roundabout following the signs to Pietrasanta centre until reaching the next roundabout which has the Folon statue ?l'Oiseau' in the centre. Turn left and proceed down the avenue for around 600 m. Turn left at the first traffic lights, and after the huge roundabout continue straight ahead down the underpass keeping to the right. After a few metres guests will find the Botero Guerriero in front and the town hall square on the right. Keep to the left where there is a large tree-covered parking area, pass the chemists into a small square named Piazzetta Crispi and take the left bend into Via Stagio Stagi. Guests will find the residence about 50 m further on, on the right. Sometimes before turning right into Piazzetta Crispi there is a small barrier showing times for the pedestrian area only, in this case, guests should say they are staying at the hotel and they will be allowed to pass through the barrier.
